Privacy policy

How LearnWithMe collects, uses, protects, and deletes account and learning data.

Effective September 11, 2026 ยท Last updated September 11, 2026

Scope and our relationship with you

This policy applies to LearnWithMe at learningwith.me. If a school or other organization provides your account, that organization may administer the account and control the learning content submitted through it. Its own privacy rules may also apply.

Information we collect

  • Account information, including your name, email address, role, account status, and authentication records.
  • Learning content you choose to provide, including courses, documents, recordings, transcripts, notes, assignments, exams, and generated study content.
  • Usage information, including feature activity, internal credits, provider usage, subscription status, and support interactions.
  • Technical and security information needed to operate the service, such as device, session, error, audit, and fraud-prevention data.

How we use information

We use information to provide and secure your account, process recordings and documents, generate features you request, synchronize subscriptions, apply usage limits, respond to support requests, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information or use course content for unrelated advertising.

AI, transcription, and document processing

When you start an AI, transcription, or document-extraction feature, the content needed for that request may be sent to an authorized service provider. Generated material can be inaccurate. We record operational information such as the feature, model, token or audio usage, status, and estimated provider cost so that accounts can be administered and the service can be monitored.

Content safety checks

When content checking is enabled, a new material is kept in private temporary storage while its extracted text is checked using Mistral moderation technology. Material that passes is then published for indexing. A review flag is a signal, not a finding of misuse; authorized administrators may approve it or delete it. Material that meets an automatic rejection rule is deleted before it enters course search or AI tools.

Temporary AI text queued for checking is removed after completion or terminal failure. Scheduled maintenance expires remaining queued text after 24 hours and removes its metadata after seven days; a maintenance outage may delay deletion. A rejected upload retains only non-content audit metadata such as an anonymous file identifier, hash, timestamp, category, and score. The source, extracted text, images, and generated content are deleted. Raw audio and image pixels are not checked by this text-moderation process.

When information is disclosed

Authorized providers may process limited information for hosting, authentication, payments, transcription, document extraction, AI generation, monitoring, and support. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a properly managed business transaction. Providers receive only the access reasonably required for their role.

Retention, export, and deletion

We retain account and learning data while your account is active and as reasonably needed for security, billing, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. You can download your uploaded files and recordings from their course, and pause or delete your account from Profile. For a personal-data access request, visit our support page. Protected backups expire according to their retention schedule and are not used to restore an individually deleted account unless required for disaster recovery.

Your choices and privacy rights

You may review and update profile information and request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information. Some requests may require identity verification, and some records may be retained where law or legitimate security and billing needs require it. Contact contact@learningwith.me to make a privacy request.

Security and international processing

We use private storage, encryption in transit, access controls, audit logging, and limited administrative access. No system is perfectly secure. Information may be processed in countries where our providers operate, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards.

Age requirements

LearnWithMe is not intended for children under 13. If local law, a school, or another organization requires a higher minimum age or consent from a parent, guardian, or institution, that requirement applies.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised date and provide reasonable notice of material changes. Questions can be sent to contact@learningwith.me.
